Advanced Rotary Blowers with Energy-Saving Motors

Modern rotary blowers are successfully used in many different applications, all of which have two things in common: they demand maximum reliability and energy-efficiency. Therefore, to compliment its highly efficient range of blower blocks, Kaeser is the first rotary blower manufacturer to install premium-efficiency "eff1" motors as standard.
The unique, energy-saving Omega rotor profile and the perfectly matched design of the block casing result in high flow capacities with low power consumption and low noise. Low consumption is also the characteristic of the motors that are designed to meet the stringent energy-efficiency requirements of the EU standard known as "eff1" adopted by the Committee of European Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics. This self-imposed standard parallels the one introduced by the American "Energy Policy Act" (EPACT).
Compared with standard rotor profiles, Kaeser-developed Omega Profile rotors not only provide higher capacity, but also enable considerably decreased pulsation amplitude with higher pulsation frequency. As a result, resonance and pulsation are kept to an absolute minimum. The three-lobe version is particularly suited to applications where resonance is to be avoided (in thin-walled pipe-work for example), or where low sound levels are required. Kaeser ‘Compact’ rotary blowers are ideal for delivery volumes ranging from 1.5 to 93 m³/min. Meticulous design and logical component layout make maintenance work simple, as these space-saving units are accessed from the front. 
This not only significantly reduces maintenance costs, but also means that several units can be placed right next to each other to save even more space. 
Maximum flexibility is achieved by blower packages equipped with variable speed drive. The flow volume can be continuously adjusted within the frequency converter’s drive range of 60 - 20 Hz. A combination of an electrical pressure transducer and a regulator for limitation of differential pressure ensures that the blower pressure remains constant even during changes in drive speed. The maximum deviation in final pressure is only 20 mbar and the maximum temperature rise of the blown air D t is 115 K.
Blowers with two-speed drive motors for applications with changing airflow requirements of 100% and approximately 50% are also available as pole-switchable and low-cost variants. The blowers cover a flow range of 1.5 to 150 m³/min and can work at pressures from 500 to 1000 mbar(a). Standard equipment includes inlet and discharge silencers and automatic drive belt tensioning for optimum power transmission and low servicing requirements. Numerous accessories are available such as safety and control devices. The machines can be provided with a sound enclosure if required.
